United Way South Australia is using their funding to establish and manage the Dolly Parton Imagination Library for a 12-month period. This initiative ensures that children from birth to 5 years in the Playford Alive area can register to receive a free book delivered to their home each month. This program will encourage literacy skills and love for books from an early age in our community.

Central Districts Junior Rugby League Club
Central Districts plan to provide a 7-week program for fun and involvement of all ages to play a friendly game of rugby league touch. Their funding will be used to purchase new equipment required for the program to be delivered to the community.

The Eyre Sports Park Association
The Eyre Sports Park Association is home to rugby, soccer, and cricket with spaces available to hire for the community. The Association will be using funding to install indoor and outdoor blinds to the clubrooms. This will provide a suitable and welcoming facility for members, spectators, and the local community all year round.

Northern Wolves Soccer Club – Come and Try Event
The Northern Wolves are active in promoting soccer and healthy lifestyle in our community. Funding will be utilised to organise a ‘come and try’ community fun day to encourage the Playford Alive community to get involved in sports and the club.

The Playford Uniting Church – Wonderful Christmas
The Playford Uniting Church plays a role in building community in Playford Alive. Funding will be contributing to the annual Wonderful Christmas Festival. The Festival has been a success for many years as a free, family friendly event for all ages of the Playford community to gather and connect around food, music, and activities.

The Munno Para Little Athletics Club
Little Athletics encourages children of all abilities to have a positive attitude and healthy lifestyle through community involvement in athletic activities and friendly competition. Grant funding will be used to purchase a marquee to provide additional shelter for athletes when they compete at sports carnivals throughout the year.

The Andrews Farm Soccer Community Club Inc.
The Andrews Farm Soccer Community Club plays an active role in our community to develop soccer skills and promote healthy choices. Funding will be used to purchase exercise equipment, offering fitness activities for the local community.

The Eyre Royals Cricket Club – Give Cricket a Go Program
The Eyre Royals Cricket Club is one of the largest community leagues in the state. Grant funding will contribute to the new Give Cricket a Go program. This program will be open to women aged 8-80 years. It will cover fundamental cricket skills and knowledge to support women that are interested in playing, coaching, and umpiring.

Since the fund was established in 2009, more than $900,000 (Inc. GST) has been provided to benefit the Playford Alive community. The Playford Alive Initiatives Fund helps organisations to grow and supports projects that make a positive contribution to the community.
