Community engagement

The great thing about Playford Alive’s community engagement is that residents have an ongoing say into the future we are building together.

The heart of Playford Alive and what we are building here goes deeper than bricks and mortar.

Using a holistic approach, Renewal SA and the City of Playford work closely with community leaders and residents to deliver a thriving, connected community.

Community Reference Group

The Playford Alive Community Reference Group (CRG) ensures an influential community voice is heard at all levels of the project by addressing issues through discussion and action-based projects. It is made up of a community committee representing the local interests of residents and organisations within Playford Alive.

Committed to building upon the strengths of the community, the primary role of the CRG is to advocate, promote and facilitate the flow of information between the local community and the Playford Alive project. The ensures community views are understood and heard to help inform the decision-making process.

The CRG meets at 6.30pm on the second Wednesday of each month at the City of Playford Operations Centre, 12 Bishopstone Road, Davoren Park.

For further information or to find out how to get involved, contact the Playford Alive Project Office on 1800 644 780. You can also visit the City of Playford website to learn more about the Community Reference Group.

Your feedback in practice

The Playford Alive Town Park was designed through an award-winning community engagement process.

In 2013, we asked you to share your ideas and provide feedback about what would make a great Town Park via our website, our Facebook page and at two community events in February and April.

The input and feedback you gave us guided Renewal SA on the design of the Town Park plans which is shown in the 3D fly-through video below.

The new heart of Playford Alive opened on 14 June 2015 on Peachey Road in Munno Para at the new Town Centre.
